This guide will teach you how to setup TTW with NVMP, This is currently only a guide for co-op.

Requirements
- Same requirements as the Getting Started
- Same requirements as the CO-OP Hosting Guide
- Fallout 3 (With ALL DLC)
- Fallout New Vegas (With ALL DLC)
Things to note
This guide does not utilize MO2 as of right now, if you wish to use it, please read this and install the mods accordingly.
This has not been extensively tested, so if you run into any issues please directly them to the nvmp-support discord channel please!
The starting vault NPCs are NOT synced, But once you get outside then all NPCs and enemys will be!
If you have any issues DON'T ask in the TTW discord or any other TTW forum, if you run into any issues please direct them to the nvmp-support discord channel please!
Instructions
Step 1. Ensuring a clean FO:NV install
- If you have installed ANY mods or plugins, edited any configs/ini, joined the public server RADD, replaced any game files, then please follow the Getting Started and CO-OP Hosting Guide page pages again.If you don't know if you've done any of this, Just follow the pages again to be safe.
Step 2. Clearing your FO3 game folders.
If you have never installed FO3 before, skip to Step 3.
Steam:
- Launch Steam -> Library -> Right click Fallout 3 -> Manage -> Browse Local Files
- Delete all files in this folder.
- Go back to Steam -> Library -> Right click Fallout 3 -> Manage -> Uninstall.
- Go to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Fallout3
- If that folder is empty, go to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Fallout3
- Delete any files except the folder Saves.
GOG:
- Launch GOG -> Library -> Right click Fallout 3 -> Manage Installation -> Show folder
- Delete all files in this folder.
- Go back to GOG -> Library -> Right click Fallout 3 -> Manage Installation -> Uninstall.
- Head to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Fallout3
- If that folder is empty, go to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Fallout3
- Delete any files except the folder Saves.
Step 3. Launching FO3 normally.
- You can now install FO3 from Steam or GOG.
- Go to your FO3 game folder -> Right click FalloutLauncher.exe -> Launch as administrator
- Then click Play -> Once the game launches click Exit.Now you need to verify your game files.
Steam:
Launch Steam -> Library -> Right click Fallout 3 -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify integrity of game files
GoG:
Launch GOG -> Library -> Right click Fallout 3 -> Verify / Repair
Step 4. Installing TTW
- Download and extract the installer
- Create a folder named dump inside your newly extracted folder.
- Launch TTW Install.exe
- Select Browse next to Fallout 3 and Fallout: New vegas and select their main game folder.
Steam New Vegas:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas
GoG New Vegas:
C:\GOG Galaxy\Games\Fallout New Vegas
- Select Browse next to Tale of two wastelands and select that newly made dump folder
- Click Install (This will take a while)
- Once installed open the dump folder you created earlier and place the contents into your FO:NV data folder
Steam:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\data
GoG:
C:\GOG Galaxy\Games\Fallout New Vegas\data
Step 5. Installing required stability mods
It's recommended to install each mod one at a time so you don't miss any, Instructions on how are down below,
Download NVSE and extract it to your FO:NV root folder!
Create a folder called mods anywhere and extract the mods zip's contents to the newly created folder.
- Download and extract the ROOGNVSE.
- Download and extract the JIP LN NVSE Plugin.
- Download and extract the Stewie Tweaks and Stewie Tweaks INI.
- Download and extract the lStewieAl's Engine Optimizations.
- Download and extract the JohnnyGuitarNVSE.
- Download and extract the ShowOff NVSE and ShowOFF NVSE INI.
- Download and extract the MLF.
- Download and extract the Fast Weapon Lag Fix.
- Download and extract the NVTF.
- Download and extract the OneTweak.
- Download and extract the ActorCause Save Bloat Fix.
- Download and extract the UIO.
Open the newly created mod folder and place the contents into your FO:NV data folder.
Download FalloutCustom.ini and place it to Documents\My Games\FalloutNV
Step 6. Finishing Touches
Launch nvse_loader.exe and confirm TTW is working, You should see a new splash screen, and a new loading screen.
Type in %localappdata% into the Windows Start Menu and hit enter, navigate to FalloutNV, and open plugins.txt. Replace the list with the one below:

Step 7. Playing TTW NVMP!
Now that you've followed this guide, You can connect normally via the NVMP launcher to anyone else who has also followed this guide.
